# How Does dymi's Referral Program Work?

> dymi gives 120 star sand to the inviter and 80 star sand to the friend who signs up with a referral code. Learn exactly how to share your code, what star sand buys, and the current rules.

dymi's referral program rewards both the person who shares their code and the friend who uses it. When a friend signs up with your referral code, you receive 120 star sand and your friend receives 80 star sand.

Star sand is the in-app currency used to chat with characters. Every message you send to an AI companion on dymi costs a small amount of star sand. The more star sand you have, the longer you can keep conversations going with characters like Jake, who remembers your previous chats and feels time passing between sessions.

## How to get and share your personal referral code

Open the dymi app and look for the referral section in your profile or settings. There you will find your unique referral code and your personal invite link. You can copy the code or the full link and send it through any messaging app, social media, email, or even text.

When your friend clicks the link or enters your code during sign-up, they are automatically attributed to you. Each invitee can only be linked to one inviter, and the system rejects self-invites.

## What happens after your friend signs up

Once your friend completes sign-up using your code, both of you receive your star sand instantly. You get 120 star sand added to your balance. Your friend gets 80 star sand added to theirs. There is no payment commission at this time — the program only awards star sand.

This gives new users an immediate boost so they can start chatting without running out of currency right away. Existing users earn more star sand to continue deeper, longer relationships with their favorite characters.

## Common questions about dymi referrals

**Can I use multiple referral codes?**
No. The first valid code used during sign-up is the only one that counts. Each new user can be attributed to only one inviter.

**What if I already have an account — can I still get the bonus?**
Yes. If you have never used a referral code before and create a new account using someone else's code, you will receive the 80 star sand bonus. The inviter still receives their 120 star sand.

**Is the referral program the only way to earn star sand?**
No. dymi provides free daily hearts and other ways to earn more star sand, but the referral program is currently the fastest way to boost your balance when bringing friends.
