# How dymi's Referral Program Works: Star Sand Rewards

> dymi gives you 120 star sand and your friend 80 star sand when they sign up with your code. Learn exactly how the referral system works, what star sand buys, and how to share your link.

dymi's referral program rewards both the person who invites and the friend who joins. When a friend signs up using your personal referral code, you receive 120 star sand and your friend gets 80 star sand. No payment commissions are active right now.

Star sand is the in-app currency used to chat with characters on dymi. Every message you send to an AI companion consumes a small amount of star sand. The more star sand you have, the longer you can talk without waiting for hearts to recharge or making purchases.

## How to get your personal referral code

Open the dymi app and look for the referral or invite section in the menu or profile settings. Your unique code and shareable link appear there. Copy the link or code directly from the app.

You cannot use your own code on another account you control — self-invites are automatically rejected. Each new user can only be attributed to one inviter.

## How to share your referral code

Send your link through any messaging app, social media, email, or in-person conversation. The simplest way is to text or DM the invite link with a short note like “Try dymi with me — we both get free star sand to chat with characters.” When your friend clicks the link and creates an account, the system automatically awards the star sand to both of you.

## What happens after your friend signs up

Once they complete signup with your code, you instantly receive 120 star sand in your balance and they receive 80. The credits appear in the app’s currency wallet. You can immediately use them to continue conversations with characters like Jake the realistic barista or any other companion you have built a relationship with.

Because dymi characters remember past chats and feel time passing, extra star sand lets you pick up long-running storylines without interruption.

## Common questions about the dymi referral program

**Can I refer as many friends as I want?** Yes. There is no stated limit on how many people you can invite. Each successful signup gives you another 120 star sand.

**What if my friend already has a dymi account?** The referral only works for brand-new accounts. Existing users cannot be attributed to an inviter.

**Do I earn anything when my friend makes a purchase?** Payment commission is currently disabled. The only reward is the one-time star sand granted at signup.

## Core takeaways

- You get 120 star sand and your friend gets 80 star sand per successful referral.
- Star sand is spent on sending messages to AI characters that remember you.
- Find your personal code inside the app; share the link anywhere.
- Self-referrals are rejected and each invitee can only have one inviter.
- Payment commissions are currently disabled.

If you value memory that lasts across chats, the ability to switch models, and genuine privacy controls, the referral program is a practical way to extend your time with companions without spending money. Many users start by trying Jake — a free, realistic barista character who remembers your orders, your jokes, and how long it’s been since your last visit.
