Long-form roleplay needs continuity
Short chats can be improvised, but long stories depend on memory: the character needs to know where you stopped, what stage your relationship reached, and which promises are still open. Without continuity, even a strong opening falls apart by the third scene.
World, relationship, and memory as three layers
A good roleplay stage has three layers: the world supplies scenes and rules, the relationship stage decides how the character treats you, and memory lets past choices keep shaping the present. dymi keeps all three in the conversation, so changing topic does not erase the story.
Start scenes that can continue
A good opening has a concrete action and an open thread: what is in the envelope, who is at the door, what was left unsaid last time. That gives the character something to build on instead of replying with a flat "and then?".
